Fatma Fahmy

Fatma Fahmy is the Metadata Specialist at the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE), where she drafts metadata for ARCE’s archival collection in preparation for online publication. Fahmy graduated from the American University in Cairo (AUC) with a B.A in Anthropology and Middle East Studies. Alongside the archival team, she has worked to update ARCE’s archival practices in accordance with the best practices. Additionally, Fahmy volunteered for the Arabic Design Archive, a MENA based archival initiative aimed at community-based knowledge production. Previously, she worked as a healthcare researcher in Shamseya for Innovative Community Healthcare Solutions. During her time there, she was a panelist in the World Bank-IMF 2021 Civil Society Policy Forum.
