ARCE supports the efforts of students from various disciplines as they conduct scholarly work in and about Egypt.  We act as a resource for students during their academic careers and beyond, through a variety of means.

Student ARCE Membership

ARCE welcomes students from the high school through doctoral levels as active members of our professional organization. Student membership provides the full benefits of ARCE membership, including ARCE publications, invitations to ARCE activities, and optional local chapter membership. Learn more…

Annual Meeting

The ARCE annual meeting provides a venue for scholars to interact with colleagues and exchange the latest research and news within the various fields of study in Egypt. Students have the opportunity to deliver their own research in a professional setting, and can compete for the “Best Student Paper” award. Learn more…

ARCE administers research fellowships for students enrolled in doctoral programs at North American universities, and for postdoctoral scholars and professionals affiliated with North American universities and research institutions. Learn more…

Summer Language Studies

ARCE partners with the United States Department of State Bureau for Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) to host US undergraduate and graduate students as they participate in an intensive “Beginning Arabic” summer language program in Cairo.
