Bloomsbury Summer School (BSS) offers, each July, the most intensive programme of high-level courses in this field available in the United Kingdom. These are taught by university lecturers and museum staff, and involve both hands-on study in UCL's own Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archeology and gallery work in The British Museum.
