"The Land of Kush"
Aidan Dodson,
Senior Research Fellow, Department of Archaeology & Anthropology, University of Bristol
A four hour workshop was held in Alexandria, VA by the ARCE-DC Chapter on April 9th. Dr. Dodson led an armchair voyage up the Nile, from the 1st Cataract of the Nile to the place, over 500 miles to the south, where the Nile is created by the confluence of the Blue and White Niles. We visited all the key monuments along our way, weaving into this the story of ancient Nubia, from its earliest cultures to the coming of Christianity millennia later.
